Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote HR Officer to join its fully remote team. You will support employees and management across locations, handling onboarding, policy guidance, and HR records, all conducted virtually.

The role emphasizes compliance with South African labour law, strong communication, and proactive HR initiatives. Prevailing HRIS proficiency and collaboration tools are required, with 2–4 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in an HR role, with exposure to HR generalist functions.
• Proficiency with HRIS software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Understanding of South African labor law principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote HR support to employees and managers, addressing queries and concerns.
• Manage the complete onboarding process for new hires in a virtual environment.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of employee data in the HR Information System (HRIS).
• Assist with the administration of HR policies and programs, ensuring consistency.
• Support HR projects and initiatives remotely as required.
