Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Human Resources Generalist to support operations based in George, South Africa. The role is fully remote, enabling work from anywhere within South Africa.

You will cover recruitment, onboarding, employee support, and HR administration to ensure a seamless employee experience. You will collaborate with a distributed team, navigate SA employment legislation, and drive HR initiatives while maintaining accurate records and offering proactive guidance to

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant degree or diploma in Human Resources.
• 3–5 years of broad HR generalist experience.
• Experience with HRIS systems and HR administration.
• Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and SA employment legislation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for open roles, including sourcing and initial interviews.
• Facilitate onboarding for new hires with necessary resources and information.
• Provide HR guidance to employees on policy interpretation and benefits.
• Assist in HR systems administration and maintaining accurate records.
• Support HR initiatives and projects and ensure compliance with SA labour laws.
