Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote HR Specialist to join our fully distributed team supporting operations across South Africa. You will manage onboarding, employee support, HRIS management, and compliance in a virtual environment.

You have 2-5 years of HR Generalist or Specialist experience, strong knowledge of SA labor laws, and proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. The role offers full remote work with flexible hours and equipment stipend.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role, preferably with remote work experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new remote employees, ensuring a smooth integration.
• Provide timely and accurate HR support to employees, addressing queries related to policies, benefits, and payroll.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HR information system (HRIS) with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assist in the administration of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving the remote employee experience.
