Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join our completely remote team. You will support onboarding, maintain employee records, and assist with HR projects in a remote-first setting.

You will collaborate with the HR team across locations, ensure data accuracy in HRIS, handle payroll support, benefits, and employee queries, and contribute to training and reporting.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Certificate in HR Management or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in HR administration or coordination.
• Familiarity with South African labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with HRIS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the HR department including managing HR documentation and correspondence.
• Assist in recruitment: post jobs, screen applications, schedule interviews.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with accurate paperwork.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity.
• Assist payroll, leave, and benefits administration.
• Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies and benefits promptly.
• Organize virtual training sessions and employee engagement activities.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and company policies.
• Prepare HR reports and presentations as required.
• Contribute to special HR projects and initiatives.
