Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to SA labor laws across a distributed workforce. You will develop, implement, and monitor HR compliance programs, conduct audits, and stay ahead of legislative changes impacting employment.

Based in South Africa or remote, you will train managers, respond to regulatory inquiries, and drive ethical employment practices while coordinating with teams across Mossel Bay and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance, legal, or risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor laws (BCEA, LRA, EEA, etc.).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities, with remote communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR compliance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices and records for legal adherence.
• Monitor changes in labor laws and update policies accordingly.
• Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on compliance.
• Manage responses to regulatory inquiries and ensure timely reporting.
• Investigate potential compliance violations and recommend corrective actions.
