Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Hotel Revenue Manager to optimize revenue across a multi-property portfolio. You will forecast demand, set pricing, and manage inventory across OTAs, GDS, and direct channels from a home office.

In this fully remote role, you will deliver data-driven insights to hotel management teams across South Africa, build forecasts, monitor market trends, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to maximize RevPAR and occupancy while maintaining

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel revenue management, preferably in a multi-property environment.
• Proficiency with PMS and RMS systems.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to interpret data.
• Experience with OTAs and GDS channels is a plus.

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking hotel management company, is seeking an experienced Remote Hotel Revenue Manager to optimize revenue generation for their portfolio of properties. This is a fully remote position requiring a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background in yield management and pricing strategies within the hospitality sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting demand, setting optimal pricing, managing inventory across various distribution channels, and implementing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue. You will work independently, providing crucial data-driven insights to hotel management teams across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive revenue management strategies to maximize RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
• Analyze historical data, market trends, and competitor activities to forecast demand accurately.
• Set and adjust room rates and availability across all distribution channels (OTAs, GDS, direct bookings) to optimize revenue.
• Manage inventory controls and ensure effective yield management practices are implemented.
• Monitor the online reputation and competitive landscape, adapting strategies as needed.
• Collaborate remotely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align revenue strategies with overall business goals.
• Prepare regular reports on revenue performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to enhance revenue streams.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in revenue management.
• Utilize revenue management systems (RMS) and other analytical tools effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel revenue management, preferably in a multi-property environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in forecasting, pricing, inventory management, and yield management techniques.
• Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) and revenue management systems (RMS).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent understanding of online travel agencies (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and direct booking channels.
• Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
