Placements24 is seeking a Remote Group Financial Accountant to manage and consolidate financial information for the group. The role is fully remote within South Africa, focusing on IFRS reporting, intercompany eliminations, and close processes for multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Post‑qualification experience in financial accounting.
• Experience in group consolidation and IFRS reporting.
• Strong IFRS consolidation knowledge including foreign currency translations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements under IFRS for multiple entities.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances; ensure elimination entries are accurate.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes for group entities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and governance.
• Develop group‑wide accounting policies for consistency.
• Support budgets and forecasts for the group.
• Manage relationships with external auditors for group audits.
• Identify process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy.
