Placements24 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, seeks a Group Financial Accountant to consolidate financial statements for multiple entities and ensure IFRS compliance across the group. The role anchors group reporting with a strong emphasis on intercompany eliminations and policy adherence.

The ideal candidate has a CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA, 5+ years in group accounting, IFRS expertise, and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) with advanced Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA) essential.
Minimum 5 years in financial accounting with focus on group consolidations.
Strong IFRS knowledge and group accounting standards.
Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

Lead the consolidation of financial statements for multiple subsidiaries in accordance with IFRS.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of the group's general ledger and trial balance.
Prepare and analyze group-level financial reports, with variance commentary.
Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
Oversee compliance with group accounting policies and procedures.
Assist in budgets and forecasts for the group.
Liaise with subsidiary finance teams for timely data submission.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Ensure all statutory and regulatory reporting for the group is met on time.
