About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Remote Group Financial Accountant to play a crucial role in managing and consolidating financial information for the entire group of companies. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
• Develop and implement group‑wide accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency across entities.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the group.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, providing necessary information and explanations for group audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in group financial reporting.
• Assist in financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision‑making by senior management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• A professional qualification such as CA(SA) or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of post‑qualification experience in financial accounting, with substantial experience in group consolidation and IFRS reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, including complex consolidation accounting, foreign currency translations, and business combinations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with major ERP systems and consolidation software (e.g., HFM, SAP BPC).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet stringent deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration.
