Placements24 in Sandton is seeking a seasoned Group Accountant to consolidate financial statements across the group under IFRS, and to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic insights. The role combines in-office collaboration with a flexible hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in group accounting, IFRS mastery, and experience with consolidation software and advanced Excel. CA(SA) or CIMA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA) or CIMA) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in group accounting or consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles.
• Proficiency with consolidation software and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate financial statements for all group entities in accordance with group policies and IFRS.
• Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated budgets and forecasts for the group.
• Perform detailed financial analysis of group performance, identifying trends and providing commentary.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements across all jurisdictions.
• Support the group's internal and external audit processes.
