Placements24 is seeking a highly competent Financial Accountant with IFRS specialization to join our client in a fully remote capacity. This role emphasizes IFRS compliance, complex accounting issues, and timely financial reporting from a home office.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of IFRS experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. Remote work, with focus on SA tax and reporting standards, is offered from Centurion, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 6 years of IFRS-focused accounting experience.
• Proficient in Sage Intacct or NetSuite and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead IFRS implementation and ongoing compliance across financial reporting.
• Analyze complex transactions and provide recommendations.
• Prepare and review IFRS-compliant financial statements and footnotes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure data accuracy.
• Liaise with external auditors and support audits.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Identify improvements in accounting processes and systems.
• Stay updated on IFRS changes and assess impact.
• Assist with tax computations and compliance.
