Placements24 seeks a Forensic Accounting Investigator to join a Pretoria-based practice. The role focuses on in-depth investigations into financial fraud and white-collar crime, gathering and analyzing financial evidence, and reconstructing records for use in legal proceedings.

The ideal candidate will have a CA(SA) or CFE, 6+ years in forensic accounting or related auditing, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with IDEA/ACL and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or related field.
• CA(SA) or CFE qualification essential.
• Minimum of 6 years in forensic accounting or fraud investigation.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and corporate records.
• Strong understanding of fraud schemes and investigative methodologies.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (IDEA, ACL) and advanced Excel.
• Willingness to travel for investigations and court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic accounting investigations into fraud, embezzlement, and money laundering.
• Analyze financial data and records to identify irregularities and gather evidence.
• Quantify financial losses from fraud.
• Reconstruct financial records and prepare detailed reports.
