Placements24 is seeking an experienced Forensic Accountant for our client in Klerksdorp, North West. The role focuses on in-depth investigations of fraud, white-collar crime, and complex disputes, gathering and analyzing financial evidence, and preparing expert reports for legal proceedings.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years in forensic accounting or related fields, holds an accounting qualification (CA(SA)/CPA) and is ethical, meticulous, and comfortable providing testimony in court.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CA(SA)/CPA and forensic accounting certifications desirable.
• 5-7 years experience in forensic accounting, auditing, or related investigative field.
• Proven experience in financial fraud investigations and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of legal processes, rules of evidence, and courtroom procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate findings clearly.
• Willing to work full-time in Klerksdorp, North West office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic accounting investigations into fraud, financial misconduct, and irregularities.
• Analyze complex financial data, transactions, and accounting systems to identify patterns.
• Trace and quantify financial losses resulting from fraudulent activities.
• Prepare detailed forensic accounting reports with findings, methodologies, and conclusions for legal proceedings.
• Assist in discovery and collection of financial evidence.
• Provide expert witness testimony in court and other legal forums.
• Liaise with clients, legal counsel, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies and internal control recommendations.
• Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards throughout investigations.
