Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Forensic Accounting Specialist for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will conduct investigations into fraud, analyze financial data, and prepare detailed reports for diverse clients from Richards Bay or any SA location.

You will gather evidence, quantify losses, and may provide testimony. The ideal candidate has a CA(SA)/CPA/CFE or equivalent, strong accounting knowledge, and proven remote-work capability in deadline-driven environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Forensic Accounting.
• Professional qualification CA(SA)/CPA/CFE is essential.
• Proven experience in forensic accounting or fraud investigation.
• Strong understanding of accounting, auditing standards, and investigative techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and forensic accounting software.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High integrity, objectivity and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex findings.
• Experience working remotely in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities
