Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Forensic Accountant for a fully remote capacity. The role focuses on investigating financial irregularities, fraud, and white-collar crime, analysing complex data, tracing illicit transactions, and providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.

The candidate should have 7+ years in forensic accounting, CA(SA) or CFE, and excel in report writing. You will work autonomously on investigations, collaborating with legal professionals in a remote-first

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years of forensic accounting and fraud investigation experience.
CA(SA) with forensic accounting experience or CFE preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Strong report-writing and expert witness capabilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough financial investigations into suspected fraud and financial crimes.
Analyse financial records, transaction trails, and electronic data for anomalies.
Quantify losses and prepare forensic accounting reports detailing methods and conclusions.
Provide expert analysis and support during litigation, including depositions and trial testimony.
Develop fraud prevention strategies and internal controls recommendations.
Collaborate with law enforcement, legal professionals, and clients throughout investigations.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Utilize forensic software and data analysis tools.
Conduct interviews to gather information and evidence.
