Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee remote logistics operations for an FMCG portfolio across South Africa. You will design end-to-end strategies, optimize inventory and demand planning, and manage 3PLs and suppliers while driving KPI-based improvements.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, lean principles, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in supply chain with FMCG focus.
• Proven experience in complex logistics, inventory control, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of lean, continuous improvement, and best practices.
• Proficient in SAP, Oracle, JDA and advanced Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage end-to-end supply chain strategies for FMCG.
• Oversee inventory management, demand planning, and forecasting.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and suppliers.
• Develop KPIs and monitor performance for improvements.
• Leverage technology and data analytics to reduce costs.
• Ensure regulatory and quality standards for perishable goods.
