Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a fully remote role in the FMCG sector. You will oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning, driving efficiency, cost savings, and on-time delivery across the supply chain.

You will collaborate with production, sales, and marketing teams, manage risks, and leverage SCM technologies to enhance visibility and analytics, all within a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, with significant exposure to the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations and achieving significant cost savings.
• Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems; experience in remote collaboration tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels for FMCG products.
• Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation logistics.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and marketing teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and inventory planning.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
• Negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers to secure favorable terms and optimize service delivery.
• Implement and leverage supply chain technologies and systems to improve visibility, automation, and data analysis.
