Placements24 is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for a fully remote position in the FMCG sector. You will lead sourcing for raw materials, packaging, and services, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure a cost-efficient, reliable supply chain across South Africa.

The role requires at least 6 years in procurement or strategic sourcing, a related degree, and strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Remote work enables collaboration with a national network of suppliers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably FMCG.
Proven success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving cost savings.
Strong understanding of procurement best practices and market dynamics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct supplier evaluations.
Analyze market trends and identify risks and opportunities in the supply base.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
