Placements24 is seeking a strategic Logistics Operations Manager to lead a fully remote logistics function across South Africa. You will oversee the end-to-end supply chain, drive performance improvements through data analytics, and build a distributed, high-performing team.

The role requires deep knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, plus strong leadership and vendor negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain.
• Manage and lead a remote team of logistics professionals, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee transportation management, including carrier selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
• Implement and refine inventory management and warehousing strategies to optimize stock levels.
• Utilize technology and data analytics to monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards in logistics operations.
