Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage supply chain operations remotely in the FMCG sector. You will coordinate shipments, manage documentation, and liaise with providers to optimize delivery schedules and minimize costs.

The role requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining seamless operations across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar logistics role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics operations within the FMCG sector.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to work with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs forms.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouses to track shipments and resolve logistical issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock movements to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and provide regular reports on KPIs.
