Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Logistics Coordinator for our FMCG client in Richards Bay. The role ensures efficient movement of goods, manages inventory, coordinates transportation, and optimizes supply chain processes to minimize costs and maximize delivery performance.

You will liaise with carriers and suppliers, maintain data integrity, and process shipping documents while leveraging logistics software and MS Office. A Supply Chain qualification is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience as Logistics Coordinator or similar in FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and transportation management.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in logistics software, inventory systems, and MS Office.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Qualification in Supply Chain Management or related field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound/outbound transport, warehousing, and inventory for FMCG products.
• Optimize logistics to reduce costs and improve on-time delivery.
• Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to track shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct stock takes.
• Process shipping documents such as bills of lading, declarations, and invoices.
• Analyze logistics data to identify improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
