Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an energetic Sales Development Representative to join a fast-growing fintech startup. This fully remote role is open to candidates across South Africa, with a preference for Pretoria, Gauteng.

You will identify leads, initiate contact, and qualify prospects to build a robust pipeline for Account Executives. You will receive extensive training and a clear career path into Account Executive roles, with performance-based bonuses and remote-friendly workflows.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English communications.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• High energy, enthusiastic, and a persistent, goal-oriented attitude.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is advantageous.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and remotely.
• Reside within South Africa, with a preference for candidates near Pretoria, Gauteng, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and research potential leads using various tools and databases.
• Initiate contact with prospects through cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
• Effectively communicate the company's value proposition and product benefits.
• Qualify leads based on established criteria to ensure they are a good fit for our client's solutions.
• Schedule discovery calls and product demonstrations for the Account Executive team.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all prospect interactions in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine lead generation strategies.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified leads and scheduled meetings.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities within the fintech space.
