Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Family Support Officer to work remotely with families in the Port Elizabeth area, Eastern Cape. You will provide direct support, conduct assessments, and develop tailored intervention plans to strengthen family wellbeing.

Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, linking families to community resources, and coordinating with educators and healthcare providers. The role emphasizes strong communication, empathy, and independent remote work

Qualifikationen

• Must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Child and Family Studies or related field.
• Experience supporting families directly in a social services context is preferred.
• Strong understanding of family dynamics and child development is essential.

• Provide direct family support through virtual sessions and in-person meetings when needed.
• Assess family needs and strengths to inform tailored support plans.
• Develop and implement intervention plans with families.
• Lead workshops on parenting, communication, and stress management.
• Connect families with local resources and coordinate with other professionals.
• Maintain confidential case files and prepare progress reports.
• Advocate for families within the community and participate in team reviews.
