Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Family Support Practitioner to work remotely with families in Limpopo and beyond. You will assess needs, provide counseling, and coordinate access to community resources, focusing on parenting, family dynamics, and resilience.

The role emphasizes building rapport through virtual channels, delivering family-centered interventions, and maintaining secure records while collaborating with a virtual team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in family support, counseling, or related social services.
• Strong skills in conducting family assessments and delivering family-centered interventions.
• Excellent virtual communication, empathy, and active listening abilities.
• Proficiency with teleconferencing platforms and digital case management tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual needs assessments to identify family challenges and strengths.
• Provide counseling and support to families to improve communication, parenting skills, and overall family functioning.
• Develop and implement tailored family support plans with family members.
• Connect families with community resources like early childhood programs, mental health services, and financial assistance.
• Offer psychoeducation on topics relevant to family health and child development.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes in the designated system.
