Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Family Support Officer to join a remote-based team serving families in and around Durban. The role focuses on empowering families by providing essential resources, guidance, and support through virtual channels.

You will conduct needs assessments, develop family action plans, and connect families with community services to enhance stability and well-being, with flexible home-based work and regular virtual team meetings.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience working with families in a support or counseling capacity.
• Proficiency in using virtual communication tools for client interaction.
• Strong knowledge of family support services and child protection legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural competency skills.
• Ability to manage a remote caseload with a high degree of autonomy and organization.

Responsibilities
