Placements24 seeks a specialized Energy Storage Systems Engineer for a fully remote role focusing on the design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for grid-scale projects and microgrids. You will help improve grid stability and renewable power utilization.

Ideal candidates have a degree in electrical/mechanical engineering and at least four years in energy storage or power electronics, with strong knowledge of Li-ion cells, inverters, EMS, and grid standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years in design/engineering of energy storage or power electronics.
• Strong knowledge of Li-ion batteries, inverters, and EMS.
• Familiar with grid integration challenges and standards.
• Excellent analytical and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify BESS components (batteries, inverters, control systems).
• Develop integration strategies for BESS with renewables and the grid.
• Perform performance analysis, simulation, and optimization of energy storage.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support during commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
