The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of privacy programs, manage regulatory inquiries, and operate in a fully remote capacity to support data governance initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with data privacy focus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data protection/privacy law.
• Profound knowledge of POPIA and GDPR.
• Experience implementing privacy compliance programs.
• Strong analytical and advisory skills; able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

About the Role

You will be responsible for advising on all aspects of data protection law, developing and implementing robust privacy frameworks, and managing data breach responses. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on data protection laws (e.g., POPIA, GDPR) and best practices.

• Manage and respond to data subject access requests and regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa or equivalent qualification.
