Placements24 is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor to join a fully remote legal department in South Africa. You will provide high-level legal counsel, shape regulatory strategy, manage contracts, and mitigate risk across departments.

You will advise on POPIA, IP, and employment law, coordinate corporate transactions, and ensure adherence to SA and international laws. A seasoned professional with strong analytical and collaborative skills is ideal for this remote-first role.

Qualifications

• Must have substantial in-house or top-tier law firm experience in corporate transactions and governance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements and regulatory filings.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within a corporate in-house setting or a leading law firm.
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court or equivalent legal qualification with active practicing rights.
• Proven expertise in corporate law, contract law, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Experience in managing large-scale transactional work and advising on corporate governance best practices.
• Exceptional remote work ethic, including strong self-management, communication, and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
