Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a senior Remote Corporate Compliance Officer for a rapidly growing fintech company. You will develop, implement and manage the compliance program across regulatory regimes, with emphasis on AML/CFT and financial services rules.

You will conduct risk assessments, train staff, monitor regulatory changes, and coordinate audits while working independently in a fully remote setup from anywhere in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of SA financial services regulations, AML/CFT laws, and related international standards.
• Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate compliance program.
• Ensure adherence to laws and regulations including financial services, data privacy, AML/CFT.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for all employees.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on policy updates.
• Manage internal and external compliance audits.
• Investigate and report on potential compliance violations.
