Placements24 is seeking a Remote Compliance Officer for a rapidly expanding FinTech company in South Africa. You will oversee the regulatory compliance framework, ensure FAIS/FICA/POPIA adherence, and lead the development of policies in a fully remote role.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in financial services compliance, strong analytical skills, and experience implementing robust compliance programs. Remote work offers flexibility and growth potential within a compliant, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in a compliance role within financial services.
• Deep knowledge of SA regulations including FAIS, FICA, POPIA.
• Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and mitigation.
• Oversee internal audits and investigations related to compliance.
• Provide staff training on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Manage regulatory reporting and liaise with regulators.
• Investigate breaches and advise on corrective actions.
• Stay updated on industry best practices in financial services compliance.
• Develop and manage the company's compliance management system.
