Placements24 is seeking a Remote Computational Biologist to join our advanced research initiatives. You will develop computational approaches to analyze large-scale biological datasets and collaborate with experimental biologists and data scientists to drive discovery.

The role focuses on applying bioinformatics methods to genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics in a flexible remote setting, contributing to innovative research projects.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, CS, Statistics, or related field.
• Proven experience analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages and familiarity with bioinformatics libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement computational algorithms and pipelines for large-scale biological data.
• Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists to design experiments and interpret results.
• Visualize complex biological data to facilitate understanding and communication.
• Contribute to development of predictive models and data-driven hypotheses.
• Stay current with advancements in computational biology and bioinformatics tools.
