Placements24 is seeking a Remote Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions across our global digital assets. You will work with a distributed, international team to fortify networks, systems, and applications against evolving threats.

The role emphasizes cloud security, container security, and DevSecOps practices, with a fully remote setup and flexible hours to support collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in information security engineering with cloud security and network defense.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Expertise in securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for security tasks (Python, Go, PowerShell).
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, threat modeling, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage secure cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security controls.
• Develop and implement robust network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure architectures).
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing across environments.
• Lead threat hunting and develop detection mechanisms for emerging threats.
• Automate security operations tasks and workflows using scripting.
• Collaborate with development and operations to embed security in the SDLC (DevSecOps).
