Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting global operations. You will design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure, focusing on confidentiality, integrity, and availability across distributed environments.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on security engineering, experience with SIEM/EDR/DLP, and scripting for automation. Strong collaboration skills enable success in a remote-first setup with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, information technology, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on information security engineering experience.
• Experience with security technologies and tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, OS (Windows/Linux), and cloud concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
• Excellent communication for fully remote work.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security).
• Develop and automate security processes (vulnerability scanning, patch management, incident response).
• Conduct security audits and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Integrate security into SDLC with development and operations teams.
• Monitor logs/alerts, investigate incidents, manage response.
• Research and recommend new security technologies to enhance posture.
