Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions to protect our infrastructure and data.

You will lead security projects, mentor junior engineers, and shape the security program’s strategic direction on a global scale. The role requires 5–7 years in security engineering, expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure), and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5–7 years of security engineering experience focusing on network and system security.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and modern security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security systems (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Lead development and deployment of security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Conduct in-depth security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop remediation plans.
• Develop and manage security automation initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security engineers and analysts.
