Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its distributed engineering team in a fully remote capacity. You will design, build, and implement advanced security solutions for our global infrastructure, drive security initiatives, and automate security processes.

Responsibilities include threat modeling, incident response, and collaborating with software and infrastructure teams to embed security best practices across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Go, Ansible, Terraform).
• Strong experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust security solutions for cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Automate security controls and operational tasks using scripting and IaC tools.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams to embed security best practices in the SDLC.
• Lead investigation and response to complex security incidents, ensuring minimal business impact.
