Placements24 is seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions from a home office. You will work with global teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems in a remote-first environment.

The role requires 6+ years in cybersecurity engineering, solid knowledge of cloud security, scripting, and security technologies, plus strong analytical skills to stay ahead of threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of cybersecurity engineering/operations experience.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash); cloud security and container security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy secure network infrastructure and systems.
• Implement and manage security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM.
• Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments for applications and infrastructure.
• Develop and automate security processes and response capabilities.
• Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.
• Participate in incident response activities and post-incident analysis.
