Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive top-of-funnel activity across South Africa. You will research ideal accounts, build contact lists, and craft personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn and phone. You will book discovery calls for Account Executives and keep Salesforce/SalesLoft updated.

The role is full-time and remote within South Africa, with a focus on outbound strategy and high-quality touches to reach quota.

Qualifications

B2B sales experience preferred. Full-cycle closers who have carried a quota are welcome.
2 years in a similar SDR or BDR role, agency or SaaS experience a plus.
Strong written communication and the ability to personalize outreach.
Familiarity with outbound tools like Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, Apollo and ZoomInfo.
Comfortable using Salesforce and managing your own pipeline.
Gritty, curious and coachable.

Responsibilities

Source and research ideal accounts based on our ICP.
Identify decision makers and build accurate contact lists.
Craft and execute personalized outbound sequences via email, LinkedIn and phone.
Book qualified discovery calls for our Account Executives.
Maintain clean records in Salesforce and SalesLoft.
Test messaging, optimize targeting and tighten feedback loops with the sales team.
