Job summary

Placements24 seeks a skilled Remote Automotive Electronics Engineer to join a distributed international team. You will design and test ECUs, sensors, and power management systems for cutting-edge vehicle electronics from a home office.

You will work with Altium Designer/Cadence, verify designs with SPICE in simulations, and collaborate closely with embedded software engineers to ensure HW-SW integration. AEC-Q and ISO 26262 familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of automotive electronics hardware design experience.
• Proficiency with circuit design, simulation, and PCB layout tools.
• Knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet).
• Understanding of AEC-Q and ISO 26262 safety principles.
• Hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design automotive electronic circuits and systems, including PCBs and power modules.
• Specify components to meet reliability and performance standards.
• Create schematics and layouts using ECAD tools.
• Perform circuit simulations and verify design integrity.
• Develop hardware validation plans and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with embedded software engineers for HW-SW integration.
• Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing and quality control.
• Stay updated on new automotive electronics technologies.
• Contribute to system-level requirements and architectures.
