Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to design, analyze, and validate electrical architectures for EVs and ICE vehicles. You will define systems, specify components, and collaborate with global suppliers from a fully remote setup.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive electrical engineering, strong protocol knowledge (CAN/LIN/Ethernet), and proficiency with CAD/simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in automotive electrical systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical architectures (CAN/LIN/Ethernet/FlexRay).
• Experience with electrical CAD tools (Mentor Graphics, Altium, AutoCAD Electrical).
• Experience with simulation tools like SPICE, ANSYS, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical system architectures for new vehicle platforms, including power distribution, networking, and control systems.
• Specify and select electrical components, ensuring performance, cost, and reliability targets.
• Perform electrical simulations and analysis to validate designs.
• Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics, wiring harness designs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated system functionality.
• Support vehicle integration testing and troubleshooting of electrical system issues.
• Develop and implement testing procedures for electrical components and systems.
• Stay current with emerging electrical technologies and industry trends.
• Manage relationships with suppliers for electrical components and systems.
