Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Electronics Engineer to design, develop and validate ECUs for next‑generation vehicles in Polokwane. You will craft schematics, PCB layouts, and embedded firmware for automotive modules and lead testing across hardware and software to ensure robust performance.

The role emphasizes ISO 26262 compliance, AUTOSAR architecture, and collaboration with mechanical and software engineers throughout the lifecycle. Remote or hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years' experience in automotive electronics design and development.
• Experience with embedded C/C++, ARM microcontrollers, and CAN/LIN/Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate automotive ECUs and systems.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts; develop firmware for modules.
• Test hardware and software components with diagnostic tools.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product lifecycle.
