Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to join a remote-first engineering team. You will design, develop, and validate ECUs and embedded software for next-generation automotive systems, coordinating with hardware, software, and testing teams across time zones.

The role requires 7+ years in automotive systems engineering, expertise in AUTOSAR, CAN/LIN/Automotive Ethernet, and ISO 26262.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Eng.
7+ years in automotive systems engineering (embedded ECUs).
Experience with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet and UDS.
Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and Cameo.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 safety standards.
Experience with AUTOSAR architecture.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work in a distributed, remote team.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate automotive ECUs and embedded software.
Define system architecture for new features ensuring robustness and scalability.
Collaborate with hardware, software and testing teams for seamless integration.
Define and maintain system requirements and ICDs.
Conduct feasibility studies and trade-offs for designs.
Develop and execute system-level test plans in simulation and on hardware.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues throughout the lifecycle.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team’s technical growth.
