Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Automotive Diagnostic Specialist to provide expert technical support and analysis for automotive products. In this fully remote role, you will leverage advanced diagnostic tools and your deep understanding of vehicle systems to resolve complex issues reported by customers and service centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as Automotive Master Technician or Diagnostic Specialist.
• Deep knowledge of internal combustion engines, hybrid/electric vehicle systems and electronics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scan tools and oscilloscopes.
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, service manuals and bulletins.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for remote work.
• ASE Master Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to automotive technicians and service centers for complex diagnostic challenges.
• Analyze vehicle diagnostic data, fault codes, and system performance logs to identify root causes.
• Develop and refine diagnostic procedures and troubleshooting guides for various vehicle makes and models.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams to relay field issues and recommend product improvements based on diagnostic findings.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic software and hardware to remotely access and interpret vehicle data.
• Train and support service personnel on new diagnostic tools and techniques.
