Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a fully remote sales force operating within South Africa. You will manage a portfolio of existing clients, drive revenue expansion through upsell/cross-sell, and act as the main liaison to ensure client success and retention.

The role requires strong relationship-building, strategic planning, and proficiency with CRM tools to track health and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Account Manager or similar client-facing sales role.
• Demonstrated success in retaining clients and growing account revenue.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and account management tools.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a remote workload effectively.
• Strong understanding of sales cycles and customer relationship management principles.
• Experience in B2B software is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
• Must be located within South Africa and authorized to work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned client accounts.
• Develop and execute account management plans to meet revenue targets and client retention goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of products and services to existing clients.
• Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess satisfaction and strategic alignment.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Customer Success, Product) to ensure client needs are met.
• Track account health and proactively address potential churn risks.
• Provide regular reports on account status, opportunities, and challenges.
