Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries and pickups, optimizing routes for efficiency.
• Manage communication with drivers, dispatchers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
• Track vehicle movements and delivery progress using fleet management software.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
• Assist in resolving delivery issues, such as delays, damages, or customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Process delivery documentation and update relevant systems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to coordinate logistics requirements.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics and report on key operational data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics and dispatch operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher, or similar role in a transport or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, route planning, and fleet management best practices.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and tracking systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with drivers and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving aptitude and ability to handle unexpected challenges calmly.
• Familiarity with South African road networks and transportation regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
• Experience in the Johannesburg, Gauteng area is advantageous.
• A relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
