Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatching of dedicated fleet vehicles and drivers to meet client delivery schedules.
• Monitor driver activities, vehicle performance and route adherence using fleet management software.
• Communicate with drivers, clients and internal teams to resolve operational issues and provide status updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, traffic laws and company policies for the dedicated fleet.
• Maintain records of driver hours, delivery times and vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new drivers for dedicated fleet operations.
• Identify opportunities for route optimization and efficiency improvements within dedicated routes.
• Respond to disruptions such as vehicle breakdowns and delays and implement contingency plans.
• Liaise with maintenance to ensure vehicles are kept in optimal condition.
• Support development and enforcement of SLAs with clients.

Our client, a growing national transport and logistics firm, is seeking a motivated and organized Dedicated Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage key aspects of their fleet operations based out of Soweto, Gauteng, ZA . You will be responsible for coordinating daily schedules, managing driver assignments, monitoring route performance, and ensuring compliance with all service level agreements. Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet operations, dispatch coordination, or a similar logistics role.
• Solid understanding of fleet management principles, including scheduling, routing, and compliance.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and general office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work a Hybrid schedule, including required on-site presence in Soweto, Gauteng, ZA .
• Familiarity with the Gauteng road network and logistics landscape is beneficial.
• Customer-service oriented with a proactive approach to client needs.
• Experience in dedicated fleet management or contract logistics is a significant advantage.
