About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician for commercial and industrial applications to join their established team in Bloemfontein, Free State. This role is critical for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex refrigeration systems used in retail environments, food processing facilities, and industrial cooling processes. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration cycles, system diagnostics, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of essential cooling infrastructure, minimizing downtime, and providing excellent technical service to our diverse client base throughout Bloemfontein, Free State. This position demands a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including chillers, freezers, and cold rooms.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration systems.
• Service and repair various types of compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems.
• Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, particularly concerning refrigerants.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide installation and repair procedures.
• Maintain detailed service logs and reports for all work performed.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients on system operation and maintenance.

Requirements
