Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Refrigeration Technician in Pretoria to install, maintain, and repair walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and other industrial cooling units. You will ensure operational integrity for client sites, from retail to food processing, with strong diagnostic and safety focus.

The ideal candidate holds a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade qualification (NTC 3/SAQCC) with 4+ years of hands-on experience, and can read technical diagrams.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is required.
• Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with commercial/industrial refrigeration.
• Familiarity with refrigerant handling, safety regulations and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair commercial/industrial refrigeration systems and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections of coils, refrigerants and electrical connections.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and identify root causes.
• Repair or replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves and related parts.
• Follow safety regulations and manufacturer specifications; read schematics and service bulletins.

Requirements
