Placements24 seeks an experienced Telecommunications Network Operations Manager to lead the Randburg NOC, ensuring maximum service availability, performance, and reliability. You will manage a team of engineers and technicians, drive operational excellence, and implement best practices to meet SLAs.

The role requires a strong background in network operations, incident management, ITIL, and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years in telecommunications network operations, with 3+ years in management.
• Proven experience leading a NOC environment.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Network Operations Center (NOC) team to high performance.
• Oversee monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of network incidents.
• Ensure timely restoration of services to meet SLA targets.
• Develop and implement operational policies and best practices.
• Manage capacity planning and address performance issues.
• Lead root cause analyses and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with engineering, field ops and customer support.
• Oversee vendor relationships for monitoring tools and support.
