Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Telecom NOC Supervisor in Bloemfontein to lead a 24/7 network operations team. You will oversee real-time monitoring, incident response, and fault resolution to maintain high availability and SLA compliance.

Expect to implement SOPs, coordinate with engineering and support teams, and mentor operators. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a NOC, 2+ in leadership, and strong ITIL knowledge; on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in IT/CS or related field.
• 5+ years in a NOC, 2+ in supervision.
• Experience with Nagios, Zabbix or SolarWinds.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Shift work availability; on-site in Bloemfontein.

Responsibilities

• Supervise NOC team, provide guidance and evaluations.
• Monitor real-time network infra: routers, switches, servers.
• Respond to incidents and outages; ensure quick resolution.
• Coordinate with field ops, engineering, customer support.
• Develop SOPs for monitoring, incident mgmt, escalation.
• Maintain incident logs and network documentation.
• Ensure compliance with security policies in NOC.
• Analyze performance trends and generate improvement reports.
• Manage maintenance schedules and planned outages.
• Escalation point for critical issues.
