• Familiar with site acquisition, civil works, and telecom power.
• Solid IP networking fundamentals related to RAN.
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic telecommunications company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior RAN Deployment Engineer to join their expanding team. This role, based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of remote flexibility and essential on-site engagement. You will be responsible for the successful deployment, integration, and commissioning of Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment, ensuring optimal performance and coverage. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with various RAN technologies, a strong understanding of network optimization, and the ability to manage complex deployment projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the deployment of new RAN sites, including site surveys, installation, and commissioning of base stations (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G).
• Perform integration and testing of RAN equipment, ensuring seamless interoperability with the core network.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related issues, collaborating with field teams and equipment vendors.
• Conduct performance monitoring and initial optimization of newly deployed RAN sites.
• Develop and maintain accurate deployment documentation, including site reports, test results, and configurations.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, operational procedures, and project timelines.
• Mentor junior deployment engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements
